Al Ain Zoo, located in Shiab Al Ashkhar, is one of the greatest zoos in the world, hosting more than 4000 animals. It was one of the first zoos established in UAE by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1968, and for this reason, it is considered one of the country's most important tourist pillars in the eyes of the natives. You can find all the animals at this zoo, such as the Arabian oryx, the big-horned Barbary sheep, rhinos, hippos, tigers, lions, and more. The zoo not only keeps endangered animals but also helps breed and protect them in a safe environment. All the guests can benefit from the green area by having a picnic or resting in cafes and restaurants. There is also a train tour of the wildlife area where all the guests can see all the animals. Al Ain Zoo opens its door to all the guests from 9 AM and closes at 9 PM.
