Ancient Armenia Discovery: 5-Day Pink City & UNESCO Heritage Experience

Day1: Arrival - City Tour in Yerevan

• Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport.
• Start exploring the capital of Armenia - Yerevan, one of the oldest cities in the world.
• We will start the tour from Republic Square, which was built in the 1950s by the Tasmanian project 20 years after his death.
• Then, we will walk through Northern Avenue, the modern part of the capital that is considered the heart of Yerevan.
• Afterwards, you are next to the Opera House and Swan Lake, where you can have a photo stop.
• Continue to the Cascade Monument, which is an open-air museum.
• At the base of the Cascade is a garden courtyard with statues by contemporary sculptors such as Botero, Lynn Chadwick, and Barry Flanagan.

Day2 : Tsaghkadzor - Lake Sevan -Yerevan

• Tsaghkadzor is a well-known winter resort town in Armenia, renowned for its ski facilities and stunning mountain scenery.

• The road will take you to Lake Sevan. Here, on the stunning peninsula, we will climb many stairs to see the church on the peak—Sevanavank—from which a beautiful view opens to the "blue-eyed" lake.

• Day 3: Azat Reservoir - Garni - Geghard - Mega Mall

• After breakfast, you will be taken to Azat Reservoir, one of the numerous natural attractions in Armenia.

• After breakfast trip to Garni Pagan Temple from 1st c. The temple was built by Armenia King Tiridates and was dedicated to the God of Sun Mithra.

• We will continue our journey to Geghard Monastery (13th c.), a monastery hewn out of a cave. The monastery had been originally named Ayrivank, meaning "the Monastery of the Cave".

• Then we will visit Megamall to shop and have fun with the children; there is a big game zone.

**Optional Trip **

• Armenian flat bread "lavash" baking ceremony in an underground heater called "tonir" in a local house in Garni. Here, you will also learn how to make local Armenian sandwiches with "lavash" and cheese.

Optional Trip

• Visiting Garni Adventure Park for some adventure activities. You can drive a quadbike, buggy, etc. You will choose the activity and pay on the spot.**

• Day4: Khor Virap – Areni – Noravank

• After breakfast, drive to the historical treasures of Armenia and Ararat Valley to visit Khor Virap Monastery.

• Continue our trip to one of the most important agricultural regions of Armenia, the Vayots Dzor region.

• Afterwards, visit Areni cave, which is now recognized as the oldest winery in the world.

• Today's cultural discovery will be Noravank Monastery, a spectacular monastic complex surrounded by mountains richly covered by red stones that give one a harmony of culture and nature.

• Day5: Departure Transfer to the airport.
